David is the founder of YouTooCanWoo, a music and audio company located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. His unique approach blurs the conventional boundaries between musical composition, sound design, and mix engineering, and centers storytelling.
David’s diverse body of work extends from creating the audio identities of major brands like NBC, ABC, Peacock, Paramount+, MTV, and Spotify to scoring, sound design, and ATMOS mixing for projects such as the Spike Jonze executive-produced “Geoff McFetridge: Drawing a Life,” which earned the coveted audience award at SXSW.
In addition to an impressive portfolio of commercial endeavors for brands like Apple, Nike, Mercedes-Benz, and IBM, David co-produced MGMT’s debut EP, “Time to Pretend,” and co-founded the group French Horn Rebellion with his brother Robert, embarking on extensive world tours. He has done official remixes for mainstream artists (Beyoncé, Sia, Orchestral Maneuvers In The Dark), and mixes/production for indie-dance favorites (Sofi Tukker, The Knocks, Purple Disco Machine). He further writes, records, produces and performs with music groups inside his studio’s label of emerging artists (toucan sounds – DJ Mag nominated for best breakout label of the year).
