Working closely with Squarespace, we conceptualized, designed and directed a set of commercials for their latest ‘Make The Next’ campaign. Squarespace approached us with three loose scripts outlining a range of fictional entrepreneurs that have used the platform to turn their passions into an empire. Squarespace wanted the spots to feel seamless and personable, whilst delivering a clear message to their varied audience. Utilizing 2D & 3D animation alongside live action, we created a trio of commercials. Using the scripts as our driving force, we generated a plethora of vignette ideas to illustrate each sentence and divided them into three design routes; 3D Motion, 2D Type Animation & Live action. Using three methods of design enabled us to introduce an interesting and tactile motion language in which type, 3D vignettes and live action could live and work harmoniously within our design system to craft-fully illustrate and accompany the hero voiceover.
